Hi everyone,
Forgive my total ignorance, but this is my very first step into your world!
I'm trying to import already downloaded and unzipped OS Vector Map ESRI Shape files via 'Open Dem'
I'm selecting 'Data' with 'All Elevation Data' showing on file-type option button, but repeatedly get 'No items match your search' flashing up.
I'm sure I'm doing something really dull - what is it anyone?!
Many thanks
Ritchie
Can't open Ordnance Survey vector maps
Re: Can't open Ordnance Survey vector maps
TransDEM distinguishes three types of geo data: DEM, raster map (including aerial images) and vector data. For each type TransDEM has its own open and save functions which can only read the file formats associated with the particular type of geo data.
OS Vector Map is vector data (aka "Route") and thus requires to be opened as such. You will have to set the file type to .shp in the file open dialog box.
Note: A DEM of a georef. raster map must already be loaded before you can open vector data.
