I have sent a screen picture to your email address that shows how TransDem reacts when I try to use the Export function..

Sorry could not send you an email. Maybe your email box is full.

What transDem says is that it could not find the path to the Trainz folder to create a new route.

However, another issue is that TransDem says "limitations apply" in the top section. How should I avoid this?

Thanks

... and how do I import into trainz in trs 2019?

Looking at Part 4 of the guide it talks about importing to Trainz through content manager, but trs2019 does not have a content manager as such.

Looking at the files in the Trainz with Windows File manager, it looks like I have got a new route, but how do I make at accessible in Trainz 2019?

Many thanks for you help..

TRS2019 does have a Content Manager! Otherwise you wouldn't be able to import anything from external sources.

As you already figured out, the export folder must be user-writeable. C:\Progam Files\..., however, is write protected, for good reasons. But TRS2019 has ist own user data section. Try to export something from Content Manager and it will point you to the default location. But as I said before, any folder (not write-protected) will be OK for TransDEM export and Trainz 2019 import.

OK thanks.

But I still get "limitation applies" when trying to export files to TRS 2019.

I get a route in TRS2019 but it has no maps associated. Nor does it have a world origin.

Must be something I'm doing wrong..

It maybe that I am trying to process too much with TransDem?

Is that what "limits apply" means?

But I dont know why since a loaded a lot more files when I made the Rhukan route a few years ago..

Any suggestions?

For the basic workflow it's always a good idea to test TransDEM export and Trainz Content Manager import with the small Muengsten tutorial route. If that works, a bigger route should also work. Yes, there are limitations, often set by TransDEM intentionally, to prevent potentially unintended excessive processing. I need to know more details whether you encounter such a case here.

The limit seems to be applied always when I use the Export to Trainz UTM tiles as overlay objects button.

I have tried using it with many possibilities (both 3D and 2D tiles) but it always shows the "limitations apply" in red, and the OK button does not function. This is the case with only one DEM and one map.

I will try it again with Muengsten, but I think I had the same problem there.

I get to page 61/2 of the Part 3: Tutorials
Release 2.6.5 Tutorial 1: Using the TransDEM Trainz Exporters

muengsten\config.txt
• muengsten\mapfile.bmk
• muengsten\mapfile.gnd
• muengsten\mapfile.obs
• muengsten\mapfile.trk
• muengsten\muengsten_TransDEM_info.txt
Two additional files will be created for TS2010 and higher:
• muengsten\mapfile.lyr
• muengsten\mapfile.trc

But I cannot find these files in TRS2019.
