Open A str File From Zusi
I wanted to open a str file from one of the fictional routes in Zusi 2 (Buchow to Wittelhagen?) just out of curiosity to see if it was based on a real geographic location. Unfortunately it appears you can only open the str file if you know what the co-ordinates are and have either a DEM covering part of the route or the mapping over. I looked at the route in the Zusi editor but it gives n clue as to any real world geographic co-ordinates. I wondered if there is a way to overcome this?

Zusi 2, that's a long time ago. If I remember correctly, the UTM reference was optional (other than in Zusi 3 where it is obligatory). Independent of that, TransDEM can only open vector data on top of a DEM or a georeferenced raster map, not as standalone data.
