Importing dxf Route Files

I have my basic route set out and need to import detailed track plans associated with the stations, these have/are being created in AutoCad, orientated using the same street map or georeferenced map as in my trainz Route.
How do I add to my route?

The coordinate system of the AutoCAD dxf file must be one of the systems supported by TransDEM. If that's the case, load a DEM or a georef. map of the area (which could be placeholders), switch the coordinates to the one of the dxf file and then open that file.
