Error message when updating to 6.2.1

#1 Post by DaveL »

Hi Roland,

I'm getting this; "no suitable patch found", when trying to update from 6.1.0.0

Am I doing something incorrectly ?

The current version is 2.6.1.0 The patch will work for an existing version 2.6.0.0 and above. It must be the correct patch, 32 or 64 bit. And it must be applied to the same directory where TransDEM was installed originally.

Ok, may be my error; Iam not --positive-- that my 2.6.0.0 is in the same Dir as when installed.
Should I just dump it and reinstall 2.6.0.0 and then apply the update ?

Before you uninstall/reinstall TransDEM, did you try the patch with the default location, as pre-set by the patch installer?

Quite often it's just one directory level down or up.

But if this all fails, uninstall TransDEM, then re-install to the default location. After that, apply the patch. The patch looks for the original installation, but only as far as the registry will tell. If you'd modified the installation later on, the patch will be lost.
