TransDEM vector layer in T-ANE

Hi
I have a large route I am working on and a problem has just arisen when trying to add track items.
When I try to add a track item such as signals, markers, rolling stock etc I am having to change the layer of the track in the properties box to Route or Session layer before it will allow me to place the item. In itself it is a simple workround to just change the properties of that particular section of track. However as my route is quite large and there are several yards and stations involved it is proving tedious to say the least.
My question is - Can I change the track layer in bulk sections and if so how or do I have resort to changing each section individually.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

G'day Caspar1946,

...I would suggest that you permanently merge the "TransDEM Vector Layer" 'into' your route's 'route layer'. That way, the track will be in the same layer as the 'route' and where Trainz wants to keep those things you want to add to it...
