Hello All,
I've searched the forums for an answer to my query before posting, but have found nothing that addresses my concerns. I am working on a route where I employed 3D UTM tiles in the original incarnation/export using TransDEM. I was using OSM, but found that using GE at a higher zoom setting ...

Re: Geo Data - USA
In order to get the most out of topography, in the menu below, do I check off anything besides elevation?
(After I've selected what area I want, I get a pop up menu with the following options)
US Topo
Historical Topo Maps
Structures
Transportation
Boundaries

USGS Map Indices ...

Re: Geo Data - USA
In the Trainz maps I noticed the waterways aren't "carved out". Is this due to the anomaly you suggested earlier GeoPhil about the depths being too large, and those parts of the DEM being lost?

Re: Ground textures in TS12 - mini map
In the Map Tile server, should the scale also match 1:24000? This is the part that's hardest for me to grasp, as when I am inside of Trainz my view is blurry while your above photo is crisper. (I have added the 5m grid option)

Re: Ground textures in TS12 - mini map
Would you mind posting a screenshot(s) of what your export screen looks like in TransDEM? It's much appreciated!
Also, you only do the 1:24k maps from the National Map Viewer right? I had the data selection by the counties--not sure if I'm missing something here.
Thanks again!

Coordinates Mismatch
I recently made a New York City georef raster map and went about the proper steps to download the proper DEMs from the National Map Viewer Server website. When scrolling over the coordinates of my map, the basic gist was N40* 55' and W73* 55'. I went onto the website and highlighted the different ...

Re: Ground textures in TS12 - mini map
Are you really sure the TransDEM textures are installed?
I just created this:
http://img.transdem.de/albums/userpics/10001/texturesV3-TS12SP1.jpg
It's a clean TS12 installation including SP1.
The texture warnings should be harmless. Nevertheless, I will follow Zec's suggestion how to modify ...

Re: Geo Data - USA
This may sound like an overly simplistic question, but after zooming in on the area you want, do you simply select how many of the 1x1 boxes you want your route to cover? Either I read the tutorial wrong, or I read it too fast and missed a step somewhere between zooming in and selecting what you ...

Different Colored Vector Lines
I've noticed on some people's WIP routes over on the Auran forums that when they are posting screenshots, their surveyor maps have all sorts of different colored vector lines drawn all over the place. Since I'm relatively new to TransDEM, I've searched high and low for any information about these ...
