I just ran across this web site. Can I used any of the data provided in creating DEM, maps, etc. in TransDEM?

Re: Error between DEM and Topo Map
Thanks, Jerker, for you input.
Will look at shifting the DEM.
I have been using geopositioned .pdf for the USGS website which only require changing them to UTM.
The 2 maps I've used were dated 1928 and 1939.

Error between DEM and Topo Map
This has occurred before but not as much as current project. I'm working on the now defunct Lowe Mt. Railway in Southern California. Downloaded NED data from USGS with no problem. Downloaded and geopositioned two topo maps. Traced the route and created a route file. When exporting all to Trainz 4.2 ...

I'm working on your tutorial of creating vector lines (railroads) using TransDEM and JOSM. The tutorial focuses on the town of Moramanga in Madagascar. I can bring up the TransDEM Map Tile client but when I put in the map coordinates, the program says it does not support southern hemisphere

Revisiting Open Street Map Vector Data in TransDEM with JOSM
Looking over the past information and tutorials from 2011, et. al. I was wondering if the newest version of TransDEM has improved the method of placing vector data (specifically railroad lines) into a dem created by TransDEM. Specifically, when trying to repeat your tutorial on TansDEM and JOSM when ...

"Help" button does not direct to the user manuals
When I click on the Help Button in the TransDEM program I get a error message: "C:\Program Files(86)\Ziegler-Tools\Dokumentation\TransDEM_engl.pdf" not found. Double (and even triple) checking the file path and it is the same as the error message. What can I do to bring up the two user manuals ...

Matching Up Topo Maps in TransDEM
I've created several routes now with TransDEM. The only problem I've had is trying to match up multiple topo maps. Is there a way to "clip off" the white borders of the maps so that they can be lined up (patched together). I have had a off set of 20-30 meters in several cases.

Editing or Croping Created DEM
I have created a large DEM to cover the area of the Sierra Railroad in Northern California. The line runs from West to East but heads in a Northerly direction. I would like to crop part of the current DEM so that when I move it into the Trainz conversion I won't have some many "tiles" to delete ...

Re: Retirement of The National Map Seamless Server Viewer
Yes, I does take you to the seamless server but when you press the seamless server viewer button the "wold globe" just continues to rotate and doesn't bring up the map.
