trains 22 and transdem

i think trains 22 has a problem with transdem as i stated before transdem textures cover the ballast on the track when you smooth
now i put actual in game texture under the track and smooth and it looks like the track has bumps and dips even when the spline is straighten
and then I placed an engine and drove the small section i was working on and yes it has dips and bumps
yes it 22 i moved the route to tane and it works fine now lets see if i can edit the track in tane then move the route back to 22 to see if that works

I wouldn't recommend using the track splines created by TransDEM for real, unless they originate from a proper 3D track geometry source (which most of us do not have access to). Take them as a template to lay your own in Surveyor.

I use track splines directly from Open Street Maps, which are available to anyone, and they work quite nicely, even in 22. I have a PDF tutorial here:
