This error is thrown very early in the process. I am not absolutely sure what went wrong here, but my suggestion is to check the extent of the map clippings loaded. They must at least cover one full 1000 x 1000 m UTM square as indicated by the purple 1000 m UTM grid (activate the 1000 m grid option in the View menu).
