Geo Data - Switzerland

Swiss topographic maps are available with the
Schweizmobil online map viewer.
For TransDEM, make screenshots and crop as necessary before georeferencing. Coordinates are SwissGrid. The maps show 1000m grid lines. The status bar displays current cursor coordinates. 3+1 point geo-referencing is probably the easiest, using grid line intersections.

Nice site,
unfortunately I have to buy a SwissMobility card to use the draw features. Not a free use site.

Indeed, Roland, this is an excellent find. I particularly like how the topographic map and the superb quality aerial images align PERFECTLY at the highest zoom level (which is more than I can say for some other sites that are used for our purposes, who shall remain 'nameless' for the sake of incrimination, although I have mentioned them in the past, here)...
...I know where I will be going for my next Swiss route..

...I guess it is 'unfortunate', Rico, that you require a need for directly 'drawing' on the maps, themselves. For most of the rest of us, such 'niceties' are above and beyond our requirements, which makes the site free as far as we are concerned...
