delete a track in total

Hello Roland,

Happy 2012. :)

I would like to add some changes to the track within my route.

Some time ago, I have used export to Trainz vector data to get the track into my route. This was done without a problem. I also made some changes to the track within surveyor.

2 days ago, I created a copy of the track and opened it in CM for editing

Continueing in Transdem : I opened dem-file, georef map and route and within the export to trainz vector data window - section object kuid, I chose track and in the kuid box I filled 0:0, hoping that the track would have been deleted in total.

Result: the track was not deleted.

Could this be due to the fact that the track is not original and was changed in surveyor? :?

What are my options - delete the track manually?

Thank you.

Best regards.

Kurt

Hello Kurt,

Happy New Year to you, too.

TransDEM will never delete any track from a route. Existing track will always be retained. TransDEM knows too little about the actual situation of the route to decide whether it could be safe to remove splines. This also means, it will not add any track where it already exists.

You will have to remove all affected splines in Surveyor first.

Hello Roland,

Thank you for your reply and information.

Again lesson learned. I have to take note where I did some changes along the track.

I know a few, but can't remember all of them  .

Oh well, never mind - new year new beginning and new possibilities. 8-)

Best regards

Kurt
