Track sinks in 2019 and 2022

#1 Post by Jersey pete »

I have been struggling trying to get my track to appear when using TransDEM in Trainz 2019 and 2022. It just seems to disappear underneath the baseboard. I have the rails sometimes and just the markers other times but never the complete track. What am I doing wrong?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. In early versions of Trainz the splines clung to the terrain surface. They no longer do. It's probably just a bit flag in the spline points. However, I have not been able to figure that out, even by comparing binary data of Surveyor laid track and TransDEM laid track. And N3V wouldn't bother to reveal specs. So I gave up.

Thanks for that seems they don't want you to find out. Oh well it works in Trainz new era so continue with that at present and try out some idea
