There are some maps of Ireland now at
http://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/maps/. These are hosted by the National Library of Scotland (NLS) and they are compatible with Map Tile de-facto standards.
The same instructions apply as for "Historic UK":
Copy the following code section into a text editor, save as an xml file and import into TransDEM with the Map Tile Client / Settings.
There are 2 tile types configured:
"Map" for "Bartholomew - Ireland - Quarter Inch to the mile, 1940". 1:250,000. Maximum zoom level 13.
"Other 1" for "British War Office - Ireland - One Inch to the mile, 1941-43 - (G.S.G.S. 4136)". 1:63,000, Maximum zoom level 15.
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1" ?>
