There was originally a site called "Waat Was Daar" but that disappeared, however this one has popped up.

http://www.topotijdreis.nl/

Covers a 200 year timespan, the 1950's/1960's era most useful for picking out the narrow gauge dune railways and the vicinial(sp) tram lines. Probably not in a format that could be directly imported to Transdem but can be used to make clippings or read in connection with OSM, etc.

Unfortunately so.

I had a look at it. Behind this is a quadtree map tile service which at first glance looks quite familiar, but the parameters appear to be rather different from the standard Mercator, normally used in these services (including ESRI). I might be able to find it out. But it would require four or five more variables to be configurable and be implemented in my algorithms.

I guess that's the way to do it. Some of the maps have 1000 m grid lines, probably the Dutch Rijksdriehoeksnet (RD) coordinate system.
