The attached pic shows what I have done....for whatever reason I'm unclear on exactly what I need to next :)

Also, following the tutorials, I get this in TS2010....(hardware acceleration Disabled in CM3.3)......What have I messed up on ??

The Almanor RR DEM is only for a test because the route is very short.
It is between the Collins Pine mill in Chester, CA and Clear Creek Junction with the BNSF.
I plan doing the BNSF Gateway Subdivision in Northern California and Oregon....all 202 miles.

Dave

BTW.......I was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy of the tracing done in Google Earth when I overlayed the Topo maps :D :D

When did you disable hardware texture compression? Before or after installing the TransDEM ground textures?

To be sure, delete the 20 TransDEM textures and re-install them with hardware texture compression off. ("Open for Edit" and "Commit" in CM 3.* is supposed to yield the same result.)

Yes, one of the remarkably useful features of geo coordinates. 8-)

I hope your cataract surgery went well.

It looks like the UTM tiles in your screenshot are suffering from the same texture problem.

What scale is the topo map in your example? Did you select the 5m terrain grid when exporting to Trainz?

Roland,

Thanks for asking...it went very well...AFAIK :D
I see the eye doc in 4 hr for my post op check.

I really don't remember if I used 5 or 10 when i exported the tiles..........

I will go back and make sure that I've followed ALL the instructions :!: :!:

Dave

UPDATE........My vision in the eye that got 'fixed' is now 20/20-15........when fully healed will be 20/15

Also I have rerun the tutorials for 2006 and everything looks as it should :) :)

Now, I think I'll go try 2010 again........UPDATE........2010 also is working for me AND I cheated a bit....I make a CDP in 2010 and installed it 2012 and it all looks good :!: :!:
