Hi Geophil, I am currently attempting to import a route to TANE, when I import it comes up with multiple errors. That's what comes up on importing. It seems to be loosing the whole File upon importing out of the Custom Folder. Your help is greatly appreciated, Jake |

geophil, I also had some errors when upgrading to SP2. 77 of my UTM tiles became faulty: ; <kuid2:135014:91458:1> Validating <kuid2:135014:91458:1> - <kuid2:135014:91458:1> VE77: Unable to load indexed mesh 'utm_1000.lm' - <kuid2:135014:91458:1> VE164: Invalid position data in .im file: utm_1000low.im - <kuid2:135014:91458:1> LoadE2MeshObject> utm_1000low.im: Chunk:1 invalid However, 858 of them were fine, including some I created and imported directly into SP2 recently. Here's 5 of the faulty ones if you need to see them: http://sharknose.me/trainz/UTMTiles.zip Thanks for your support! Andrew |

Could this be an attempt to overwrite an existing route? SharkNose wrote: - <kuid2:135014:91458:1> VE164: Invalid position data in .im file: utm_1000low.im Are you sure this is related to SP2? I remember issues with 3D UTM tiles in the past where tiles were generated with invalid height if terrain did not exist for parts of the tile area. And that produced error messages like yours.

Put something simple together in TransDEM, like the data in the Muengsten tutorial, and export to T:ANE SP2.I hadn't updated my SP2 beta for while, as I am currently working on refining DEM loading and pre-processing, but I did so last night, and imported an arbitrary route into SP2 Content manager. Worked just fine. You can't re-import into TransDEM with SP2 right now, of course. That's because of the route file format changes, but this is the same as with every new Trainz version that comes with route format modifications. This time, they are quite severe, unfortunately. |

Could it be the common folder you are using for the interchange?Your error message in your opening post says: B:\N3V Games\TANE\Custom But shouldn't that be: B:\N3V Games\TANE\Edit ? Isn't "Custom" the place of the local database in T:ANE? (I don't have a T:ANE installation on the machine I'm working with at the moment.) |

Hi Geophil, The other routes I have imported have gone through the custom folder as I am pretty sure it was created when I first imported the tutorial route. I will try and import through the edit folder and let you know if the results are any different. Thanks, Jake |

Very good, but strange enough. I checked last night and I didn't have a custom folder at all. Perhaps T:ANE SP2 uses that for internal purposes, if present. I doubt it, though. But your error report included quite a number of messages which suggested that T:ANE attempted to copy files to themselves there. |
