When working in Trainz Surveyor, I would like to have two or more UTM tiles in the same location (for example, one tile carrying an orthophoto and the other tile carrying a street map) and use Trainz 2010 layers to choose which one is visible. It seems that Transdem almost supports this (it allows me to specify which trainz layer to export UTM tiles to). However, when exporting the UTM tiles, Transdem only allows one UTM tile at each destination (regardless of which Trainz layer it is going to). Is this working as designed? Is there a workaround?

Not so easy. TransDEM UTM tile functionality includes replacement and repair. Implementation of these functions relies on singular instances of the tiles. TS2010 Layers are simply a peripheral attribute, only existing in TS2010 route files. TransDEM UTM tile generation would have to process this attribute at a level where it currently has no clue about layer existence. I'll put it on the wish list but won't make any promises.
