Hello,

I created track splines from route vector data, without changing the default object kuid. The track was created and is visible in my route.

But for some unknown reason I cannot place a tram or train on the tracks. :o

When I place 1 meter track ( same kuid ) next to the created track, I can place a tram on the 1 m track.

Any idea why this occurs?

Thank you

Best regards

Kurt

If this is TS2010 it could be a layer issue. By default, TransDEM creates vector splines into its own layer. In Trainz Surveyor, either change the layer of the track spline or change the default layer for placing objects (incl. rolling stock).

Hello Roland,

You are absolutely right. :D It was a layer problem. In my case a session layer issue.

I didn't have to change the layer :)

What did I do - went in layers - clicked on session layer - click on hide layer -
Tried to place a tram on the tracks - got a message that this couldn't be done because the layer was hidden - went back to layers - clicked on show layer - tried again to place a tram and tada my tram was on the track spline.

Best regards

Kurt

Quite a complicated way to switch the current layer. :D
When in the layer fly-out, simply click on the TransDEM route layer to make that the new current layer.

Hello Roland,
I had the same problem. It's certainly worth checking the forum for answers first.

Have you made the TransDEM route layer the active layer in Surveyor?
