If I understand correctly, you would like a minimap to be as detailed as this: (excuse the color blocks, they're the NEC by Neuman)

Re: 3d Vectors!! Filling in the blanks??
Update: I am able to import the 3d data as a gpx extension. I didn't think that was a successful format because when I tried to export the data to Transdem, none of the 3d data boxes were able to be checked. I have since played around quite a bit with the data in Global Mapper, and was able to ...

Re: 3d Vectors!! Filling in the blanks??
Good morning all, and thank you for your responses. It seems when I try to export the route file as .dxf that it usually won't load. I have been able to export into .gpx format, but I do not get the prompts and 3d features. Yes, I import the DEM into Global Mapper as well. When I do import the route ...

Re: 3d Vectors!! Filling in the blanks??
Yes, I have found Global mapper to be all it's built up to be. With a solution, comes another problem. I have tried to export my route which was imported from transdem, then tried to convert and export back into Transdem but I now run into the error message "route lies outside of dem, and will be ...

Re: External CAD tool help
Thank you for your response. The question I have now is, will I need to purchase a license for Zusi to obtain Absteckrechner, or is it freeware? I tried to click the links and google translate, but none led to download or purchase. Thank you again for your response.

External CAD tool help
Good morning all. I have been looking into CAD tools, and wanted to know if anyone could share which tool you are using, if any. I have downloaded Grassdata, and also Bryce 7.1. I have also downloaded 3dem. Are any of these what I need? My goal is to give a better representation of track geometry ...

Re: Remove and add UTM tiles?
The UTM tiles can be manipulated from the objects tab in surveyor (like with stations).
Re: Welcome
Hello all. Very nice job on TransDEM Phil. Well documented for someone like me, who two weeks ago I knew nothing of what a DEM was. Today, I am currently working on the Philadelphia PA Rail System. I have always loved riding the various forms of transport in our city, so now I get to finally build ...
