Re: Google Earth & TransDem
Thanks Jerker, for your reply. I'm leaning toward "Hiballer's" method of adding GE images. In my system they cover an area of about 1 1/2K x 2.8K. It goes fairly fast but have to take frequent breaks because of the repetitive motions. My 83 YO arm gets to aching after about a half hour or so! LOL ...

Re: Google Earth & TransDem
OK, Got it! Thanks.
A question to those that have made use of this procedure, what is the best zoom level to use for capturing the images? Level 20 gives a fair amount of detail, but at 216 x 216 ft. I visualize several hundred images for my area.

Re: Google Earth & TransDem
Thank you All for your responses. Guess what I was asking about doesn't exist or cannot be programmed into TransDem from what I see. Bummer!

Google Earth & TransDem
I have been using the tutorial "How to use Google Earth and TransDem to create routes for Trainz". My chosen area for my route(s) is quite large, approximately 100K by 136K, located in SE Texas in surrounding and including the Houston area.

Re: USGS Files for Transdem
Thanks Jerker,
I had downloaded the larger files, but hesitated on downloading the smaller ones. I have them in a CVS file so I can get back to them if needed. I'll do some research on GE to see what areas that I need to have & go from there.

USGS Files for Transdem
Hello,
I've visited the USGS DEM D/L site and entered the various data selections. I received a listing of files that consists of the following:
Four files were similar to "n30w095" for a file size between 121,735KB & 463,482 KB zipped, and
145 files similar to 569b47ece4b0ec0512962bbf 7.5 x 7.5 ...
