But shouldn't some intelligent Trainz filter prevent a user from uploading foreign content to the DLS?

You would've figured, but we are talking about the DLS :lol:

As far as them not contacting you, I think that's normal practice. They included an asset that I had modified and it was on the DLS ...

Freshly created TransDEM routes should not require Compatibly Mode in Trainz at all. They only use simple ground textures and UTM tile textures. Very basic texture assets without any form of transparency, neither alpha sampling nor alpha blending, the latter being deprecated since TS2009.

It appears some of the textures were built-in, because when I went to import them it asked me if I wanted to overwrite, I selected yes and it looks like 12 of 20 for some reason.

Well it appears and the key word being "appears" the maps created in TransDem for 2010 can in fact be imported directly into TS 12 without much of an issue.

I just put on TS 12, and decided I would try it. So I created a new map from one of my DEM's along with rasters and ortho photos and exported ...

I am not quite sure how that would work, could you explain a bit more?

There are currently two route files (.str) provided by Ordnance Survey, one shows the railway lines and the other shows roads. They both show up as cyan in surveyor. How can I get Transdem to recognise that they are different ...

On a side note google orthos for me at this time doesn't come up. Microsoft and yahoo are fine and respond quick but google is lagging. I am on a DSL in Yuma Az and a crappy one at that :D

Ok I watched your video and have seen that as well. Have you tried microsoft's server or yahoo? Also I am not sure if it helps or not but what I do is I do everything you do up to the point of selecting orhtophotos and I select map, then zoom in to the area where I want up to 17 zoom Then select ...
