This should help greatly with route-mapping. The MTS was localized close in over Orlando, Florida however, it rendered all eight states for Rail_region_4.

I see now, just make any map without a terrain DEM and use it to divide the routes into sections...

I used this because it gave me a very resolute map, probably a random choice selected on a "hit or miss" basis. I went to a 5% overlap and use horizontal and vertical poly lines to reduce the amount of files.

Is there a Topo map source for the Map Tile Servers?

8-) I simply imported the latest WMS Settings (Nov 11?) into the WMS Import dialogue, deleted everything except MS-Research Maps. MSR Maps settings includes both URLs.

The topo maps are constantly updated (by rouge gnomes...), and for the most part give a great view in game at a scale of 1:20000 ...

I had downloaded practically all of the Southeastern USA in 3 arcsec, then I found out about 1/3 arcsec...the detail was astounding.

Aside from some territories out west, 1/3 is available for the 48-states whilst 1/9 does have limited availability at this point but ...
