Are you sure your TransDEM installation is up to date? The texture folder should contain this:

I see. I'm afraid on Trainz export the color cyan is hard coded, like magenta for the coord grid. Simply because of the limited color range with ground textures, one of the fundamentals in the Trainz export concept.

The easiest way is to delete this Windows Registry key: It will restore itself with the next start of TransDEM. Use Regedit.exe

Caution: Do not change any other entries in the Registry!

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. In early versions of Trainz the splines clung to the terrain surface. They no longer do. It's probably just a bit flag in the spline points. However, I have not been able to figure that out, even by comparing binary data of Surveyor laid track and TransDEM ...

Thank you. It took a while to download, server seemed to drop out after each GB, but a download manager finally did it.

It's GeoTIFF and projection is UTM, zone 33. Resolution is 5m, ideal for Trainz

You may want to load only a subset into TransDEM, because of the enormous file size.

You will probably find several posts on the Trainz forum regarding this issue. But the damage was done a long time ago, and I'm afraid we have to live with it.
