Re: Incompatible Placemark
You are correct - only a couple of miles in order to understand the concepts.
I'll give it a try and report back.
Thanks

Re: Incompatible Placemark
I did set my userid
I do have objects checked
I did try clearing the KUID cache
Still no result in Trainz
I did get an error message "Inconsistent file names/and or missing one or more map folders"
Maps will not be available in selection list

Re: Incompatible Placemark
I was going back and correcting with N and U instead of starting with a new placemark - followed your instruction and succeeded - thank you.
I have gotten as far as actually having a functioning DEM, georeff raster map, and route.
When I then create the new map and send to Trainz, it seems to work ...

Incompatible Placemark
I have followed the instructions for saving kmz and jpg files from google earth. (Followed the setup in the instruction manual)
When I switch to Transdem, I successfully open the kmz but then get "incompatible placemark" error - go back and rest north and reset tilt in google earth.
Have done that a ...

Re: USGS Seemless Server
Well, I finally got so frustrated I installed Firefox - and presto - map appears. Something in IE9 is preventing the map display so I am on my way to the tutorials again.
Thanks for responding - I am sure I will be back later.

Re: USGS Seemless Server
I did read the first tutorial - the second does not do me any good because I can't even reach the DEMS data in the first place.
I followed the first tutorial to the USGS seemless server, clicked on the "seemless Viewer" as instructed and - nothing. No map appears - only a blank yellow box.
I have ...

USGS Seemless Server
I know this is not a Transdem problem. I frankly gave up on this program some moths ago because I guess I am too dense. Thought I would give another try - and found I cannot even get DEMS data at the server - instead of a map I just get a yellow blank box. I searched google for a solution and guess ...
