Thanks for that I am all sorted out.

How do I open a Route in TransDEM ?? I open TransDEM and open Route but it is all greyed out and I can't open a route. Anyone ?

Thanks again Roland. I have done as you suggested and opened a folder in 'Documents' to hold various folders/files.

I am trying to through the tutorials but quite often when saving I get the message "Can't save here as you don't have permissions" and I am directed to another area. Is it safe to delete the whole TransDEM programme (hoping it will delete all the files) and re-install taking care not to put ...

Is there any way I can view these files since Flash Player has been discontinued ??
I have VLC but I can't see where it will load these files. Any help please.

I have been very busy with Transdem and have got messed up a few times, I have all sorts of odd files dem's etc. in all sorts of odd places. Would it be ok to delete the programme and re-install ??

Hi,
I am doing Tutorial 7: Map Tile Services and everything was going well (too well) when I hit a problem. I have reached the point where it says to save the created route to a file.
I click on Route>Save Route as and a dialogue box opens with UTM Reference Point filled in and there is a 'tick' box ...

Thanks for that speedy response Roland. I have rectified my mistake (again) and have sorted out my mess. I am really sorry about all the problems I am causing but hope I can sort myself out.
I am sure I will be needing the O/S maps you have mentioned but it may be some time yet before I think of ...

I have finished the Quick Start Guide in TransDEMTrainz and it says to carry on with "Do the Map Tiles" tutorial in the Main Transdem Manual. I then go to TransDEM main manual and open "Tutorial 7: Map Tile Services" . It says "Download TransDEM Sample Settings.zip" and unpack.
Where is this folder ...

Thanks geophil, I have installed the programme as per your instructions and it looks as if it is working ok. I have started on the tutorials and that is causing a bit of a headache.
