Have followed the examples and all works fine with Tane. But when exporting to 2010, all ground is black.
Any ideas?

Thanks, Bob

For TS2010, there could be an issue with hardware acceleration for textures in Trainz. A possible bypass is to delete the TransDEM texture set in Content Manager first, change the setting for hardware acceleration textures to off - it's somewhere in the Trainz options window (Trainz, not TransDEM) - and reinstall the TransDEM texture set.

Funny I have just encountered the same issue having re-purchased TS2010 in the 15th Anniversary sale (my DVD copy no longer installed). Tried V2 and V3 of the Transdem textures and both Open GL and Direct X, neither of which cured the issue. I patched up to 44088. I'll try the fix suggested Roland but AFAIK this issue didn't exist on the disc version of TS2010.

Edit: Not that didn't work either. Oh well, back to TANE!

A couple of other things to try is seeing if setting compatibility mode to Win XP (I'm running Win 10 64 Home Premium) helps. Also ensuring on the laptop with shared graphics, TS2010 is set to launch with the Nvidia card and not the Intel, although again not an issue in TS12 or TANE. Finally, I'm guessing it could be a lack of DirectX9 but trying to understand how to obtain and install that alongside DX11/DX12 is a bit technical for my poor brain.

Edit: Selecting XP mode and forcing Nvidia made no difference, sorry to say.

My version of TS2010, still installed on my machine and occasionally used for backward compatibility testing, claims to be build 49933. Option "Disable Hardware TL" is off. Installed some experimental texture set last weekend (an academic mathematical study of permutations, not suitable for productive work) and did not encounter black terrain. I had also seen that myself in the past.
