Greetings,

I created my first route using the Map Services, following the instructions in the Tutioral. Everything went smooth however, after importing into T:ANE I can see the map: http://prntscr.com/e7wycx yet when zooming in I get this: http://prntscr.com/e7wzp6 and this: http://prntscr.com/e7x06m.

I can see the terrain has taken the shape but where did my route and track go? And why is the map not showing everywhere?

I exported the following: DEM and Ground Textures, UTM Tiles and Track Spline

I'm sure I've messed up somewhere.

Thanks for your help,
Bill

Did you install the TransDEM ground texture set, as requested in the Quick Start Guide, Preparation, 1st step? The TransDEM Trainz manual has the detailed instructions, on page 14.

BTW, I do not recommend using ortho-imagery for ground textures. The ground textures, technically limited to one pixel per ground vertex, 5 or 10m, won't be sharp enough to resolve the photo, and there will not enough colours either.

It's usually better to use a map for ground texturing, Open Street Map will often be a good enough choice, and ortho-imagery for UTM tiles.

You may want to play around a bit and compare the results.
